The Production team searched for locations in the Asian Region for a period spanning over 3 years. Several visits were made to Thailand, Nepal, India, Myanmar, Laos, Malaysia and Japan for this purpose. Finally, locations in Nepal, Thailand and Sri Lanka where selected for the making of the film. Sri Lanka was selected as the prime location for making of the Film, with the dawn of peace in May 2009.

Nong Nooch Park

Ven. Dr. Bodagama Chandima Nayaka Thero made available the land at Manelwatte Temple in Kelaniya for the Complex of Palaces of the ‘Kingdom of Sakya’. Having designed the complex the team of architects of 124 Designs supervised its construction. Funding for the Complex was mobilized through Ven. Dr. Bodagama Chandima Nayaka Thero at a cost of over US $ 400,000.

His Excellency Mahinda Rajapaksa – the President of Sri Lanka made available over 65 acres of land with buildings costing over Rs. 50mn in the BOI owned land in Piliyandala for a key portion of the film.

A 10 Day shooting scheduled is planned in the Film City.
